What is a Pilkie? Our Breeding Pen Details:

Our current breeding group consists of 5 beautiful Pekin Bantam hens in a variety of striking colours including Millifluer, Mottled, and Lavender. They are currently sharing a pen with our premium USA Silkie Rooster.

• The Surprise Factor: Most eggs will produce the “Pilkie” (Pekin x Silkie) cross, but because we also have USA Silkie hens in the same pen who occasionally lay smaller eggs, you might even find some 100% pure USA Silkies in your mix!
• Unique Appearance: Expect a delightful mix of feathered legs, potential crests, and stunning plumage patterns.
• Family Friendly: Both Pekins and Silkies are famous for their docile, friendly temperaments, making these crosses ideal for garden pets.
• Limited Availability: These are available for a short time only while the girls are in this specific group.
• Freshness Guaranteed: Eggs are dispatched promptly via Royal Mail 24 Tracked to ensure the best possible start.
• Daily Fertility Testing: We monitor fertility daily in our own incubators to ensure we are sending out the highest quality product.

Post-Arrival Protocol:

Upon receipt, please rest the eggs pointed end down for 24 hours before incubating or placing them under a broody hen. This helps stabilize the internal components of the egg and increases the likelihood of a successful hatch.

Terms of Sale:

• Eggs are sent out fresh and are not batch stored, so you may need to wait a few days after purchasing for dispatch.
• We dispatch eggs from Monday to Thursday to avoid them sitting in the post over the weekend.
• Eggs are well-packaged, but we cannot reimburse for any damage caused by Royal Mail.
• We test fertility daily to ensure the highest quality. However, as this is a natural product, we cannot guarantee fertility or hatch rates. No refunds or replacements will be offered for posted eggs due to factors beyond our control, such as handling or postal conditions.
